The Head of Sales – Commercial & Public, North America is responsible for leading, managing, and scaling the existing sales team across both the Public Sector and Commercial verticals. This role will focus on optimizing sales performance, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share in key industries, including government, financial services, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and travel.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a proven sales leader with deep expertise in enterprise technology sales, specifically in biometric security and identity management. They should be experienced in managing and optimizing existing sales teams, driving revenue growth, and navigating both public and commercial markets in North America.

As our Head of Sales Commercial & Public North America, you’ll support HID’s success by:
• Leading, developing, and optimizing the existing Public Sector and Commercial sales teams to achieve revenue and growth targets. Leading the execution of high-value deals, ensuring strategic and financial objectives are met.
• Fostering a high-performance sales culture through coaching, performance reviews, and professional development. Monitoring market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product positioning.
• Defining and refining sales territories, vertical strategies, and team structures to maximize market coverage. Aligning sales goals with business objectives and continuously refine the strategy based on market trends.
• Overseeing and driving sales growth in government verticals, including federal, state, and local agencies. Strengthen partnerships with government system integrators, VARs, and technology providers.
Your Experience and Background include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on innovation in biometric technology.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with customers, partners, and the sales team across North America.
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales leadership, with a focus on biometrics, identity verification, or security solutions.
• Proven success managing and scaling existing sales teams across Public and Commercial sectors.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement, government RFPs, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience in complex, consultative solution selling to enterprise clients and government agencies.
Track record of driving revenue growth, achieving quotas, and expanding market share in North America.
• Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, particularly for high-value deals.
Strong leadership ability to develop, mentor, and manage high-performing sales teams.
• Data-driven approach to sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline management.
