As our Sales Engineer III, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Acting as the Sales team's technical encyclopedia during the sale cycle, representing the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems.
  • Assisting our customers, partners, and internal sales force with all aspects of a sale focusing on the technical aspects of the HID PACS Solutions, Product and Services.
  • Providing timely assistance responses to create technically sound solutions, while educating our customers, thus increasing the probability of success, and decreasing the time to success.
  • Building trusting relationships with technology decision-makers and influencers. Gaining a deep understanding of the channel partners’ technology and business strategy.
  • Organize demos and POC to properly represent HID during seminars, conferences and tradeshows.
  • Providing technical training to partners and end users on HID-specific technologies, tools and relevant industry topics related to Credential Technologies, Access Control Hardware, Mobile Access Solutions, Biometric Authentication, AI & Machine Learning integration and others.
  • Collaborating with HID Product Marketing and Engineering teams on the requirements and perspectives of our customers. Improve HID’s portfolio by providing regular partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management.
  • Maintaining a strong technical command of the HID portfolio. Ability to learn new technical concepts by leveraging internal experts and external resources such as field experts and technical articles. 
  • Providing timely assistance to peers and coaching to junior team member to ensure team success.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as IT, Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4 - 5 years of Technical or Presales experience supporting an Physical Access Control Technology/Solution desired.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of in-depth HID PACS Products and Services experience required.
  • ASIS PSP, CSEIP, CISSP certified or other PACS Domain certifications preferred.
  • Understanding of PACS system and components such as:
    • Directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, X.500);
    • Databases (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle);
    • Network protocols (SSL/TLS, HTTPS, MQTT, RADIUS);
    • Authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC);
    • Network security (Firewalls, DMZ, VPN);
    • Cloud integrations (RESTful APIs, SDK),
    • Encryption standards (AES, RSA, ECC, PQC), and device provisioning workflows.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as OSDP, Wiegand, ISO/IEC 14443, ISO15693, UL294, AES, FICAM, PSIA and mobile access technologies.
  • Structure and representation of digital information (bits, bytes, MSB/LSB, JSON, CSV etc.)
  • Knowledge of vertical-specific PACS requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong technical aptitude and able to convey and understand technical concepts.
  • Being able to dig deep into the world of bits and bytes to solve customer issues
  • Understanding and experience of the access control and/or IT sales channel market preferred.
  • Enjoys working on a remote team with multiple account managers, partners, and customers throughout the region.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. 

 

The base salary in the United States is $88,000 to $120,000. The OTE is up to $150,000.
