FlashShip Business Development Manager
Responsible for creating, improving and implementing a business plan to generate demand, awareness and revenue for ASSA ABLOY FlashShip Program. The FlashShip program has evolved into multiple locations, with a core mission to provide same day service and shipment on over 1,100 items from strategic discretionary products from ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA, McKinney, Pemko-Markar, Rockwood, and NortonRixson.
What will you be doing?
- Create, implement and execute a business plan focused on growing sales of discretionary core products and brands to customers throughout the DSS US organization (local territories, regional and national customers)
- Focus on program and initiative sales techniques to drive sales engagement and growth
- Develop a methodology and training to enable DSS and customers to be “FlashShip” ready – including account and buy program setup, training and onboarding to FlashShip program & tools including pricing tools, WebShop and inventory conversion program
- Create reporting tools to increase visibility of key metrics and drivers of FlashShip sales performance
- Engage with WebShop team on tool enhancements, special projects and engagement of sales via WebShop
- Work collaboratively with DSS, FlashShip Operations, Brand Business Development, Brand Operations and Brand Product Management team to regularly review current and future brands and products to support FlashShip growth opportunities
- Lead product addition / removal process with Brands, FlashShip Ops and Inventory Analyst
- Lead marketing planning to increase ASSA ABLOY FlashShip awareness, adoption of tools and programs and ultimately drive sales
- Establish a regular cadence of planning sessions with Senior Leadership, DSS and Brand stakeholders focusing on growth opportunities, competitive updates and organizational engagement
- Develop plan and manage program for Data Improvement & Order Processing Integrations with customers, industry ERP systems, WebShops, PIM/DAM, and other related systems
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage account contacts, business plans, lead sharing and activity follow up
- Stay up to date on competitive programs, products and trends along with ASSA ABLOY brand products, trainings, new product launches, marketing initiatives
- Travel throughout US up to 30% of time per month to FlashShip locations and/or DSS territories to facilitate sales and program training with DSS and key customers, attend local, regional trainings, tradeshows, conferences and other industry events

- Discretionary stock conversions
- Strategic activities with key partners (training, field sales initiatives, marketing programs, etc…)
- Frequent engagement with Local, Regional and National leadership
- Reports to: Distribution Manager, FlashShip, dotted line responsibility to DSS Vice President – Wholesale and Aftermarket

What you need to be successful?
- Strong written and verbal communication skills & proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Data-driven and organized to be able to create, track and present results
- Industry-related technical and sales aptitude
- Ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards
- Ability to coordinate customer and internal cross functional engagement
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling
- You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
