Part of Global Solutions, Key and Asset Management provide intelligent management solutions for keys and equipment. Our key cabinets and locker solutions help all types of organization to better control their important assets, improving productivity and accountability, and reducing risk in critical processes.
Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
As a Software Engineer for the Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to be part of a professional enterprise Software Development team who create innovative solutions to address real world customer problems in the key and asset management space.
You will report into a Senior Software Engineer and work throughout the development stack on desktop, web/device based applications, APIs and backend services, developing and maintaining our on-premise and cloud based software solutions. Your responsibilities may include implementing new features, enhancing existing ones, or resolving bugs.
What you will do…
- Gain a strong understanding of KAM’s products, solutions and services: to solve real world problems for real world customers.
- Design, build and maintain high quality, secure, scalable, optimised and reusable code.
- Maintain and improve code quality and test coverage.
- Support definition of user stories and requirements into functional software deliverables.
- Work effectively and optimally with your team, collaborating and taking pride in your work.
- Contribute technical knowledge and documentation to educate and inform.
- Be passionate about Agile software development.
- Share our vision for the quality in our work, collaborative working, empowerment, honesty, and trust.
What we expect of you…
- A proven track record of delivering complex software solutions in C# and .NET.
- Thorough and applied experience of SOLID principles, code quality and testability.
- Be a natural problem solver; apply best practice and use modern principles and techniques.
- Show excellent communication skills.
- Be a friendly and engaging team player with a positive attitude and commitment to getting things done.
- Is analytical, resourceful and pragmatic, with the enthusiasm to acquire new knowledge and build great products.
- You will be located in the UK (remote/hybrid options available).
- Practical experience using AI tooling and approaches to accelerate software development.
Experience with the following would be beneficial…
- Cloud software development and platform experience.
- Application development using modern frontend technologies like Flutter, Avalonia, React, Blazor.
- AI-first development practices.
