Your Opportunity:

 

This role will require you to carry out planned installations, commissioning and maintenance on products with a variety of applications. This is a customer facing role and requires the highest level of customer service at all times to meet the standards of our blue chip customer base. This role will cover the Southern area of the UK

It will be your mission to:

 

  • Carry out installation, commissioning and testing of a wide range of Traka products throughout the UK.
  • Conduct on-site annual maintenance of existing Traka systems.
  • Provide an emergency repair and breakdown service to our UK customers.
  • Travel to customer sites to deliver/install/maintain or repair systems and ensure all electronic documentation is signed off by the customer upon satisfactory completion.
  • Ensure that systems are installed and tested in accordance with Traka instructions, requirements and guidance.
  • Operate to Safe Working practices and Instructions complying with H&S, including both Traka and customer site policies.
  • Work to high professional standards to ensure servicing and repair of equipment are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Give support to customers as required.
  • Complete all electronic documentation within the agreed timescales including any escalation through team leaders for further investigation.
  • Ensure all returns are processed and documented, repairing product where possible.
  • Perform other duties from time to time as requested by Manager.
  • Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of the Company objectives.

 

Who You Are:

 

You will be self-motivated, trustworthy and honest, and have the ability to work on your own initiative, with good numeracy and IT skills.

You will have excellent communication skills with proven customer service experience. You will also be able to demonstrate good problem solving and decision making skills adopting a ‘hands on’ approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.

 

Experience:

 

  • Knowledge and practical experience of installing and maintaining electronic equipment.
  • Understanding of circuit boards, electronics hardware and/or software applications.
  • Working on customer sites including safe working practices.
  • Hands on electronics and electro mechanical experience.
  • Maintaining documented records using electronic medium.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows/cloud based software and confidence with IT packages.
  • Understanding of network and networking connectivity and cabling.
  • Developing long term working relationships with customers.

 

Functional competencies:

 

  • Must hold a full current UK driving licence.
  • Good basic education in communication (both written and oral), numeracy and IT skills.
  • Confident with IT equipment (laptops/tablets) and familiarisation of software installations (Basic knowledge).
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills.
  • This role will require access to secure sites and candidates will need to pass security. checks to higher level.
  • Used to travelling extensively throughout the UK and overseas when required, with the potential need to spend nights away from home due to the nature of the role.
