Your Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing pre & post-sales technical and solution support to TRAKA existing and new client’s as well authorised Traka referral partners, manage the deployment of the TRAKA solution both in regard to the installation, technical deployment, commissioning and training within the UK & Ireland.

You will be reporting to the Sales Engineering Team Manager and based regionally within mainland UK.

The role will perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures. It will be your mission to:

  • Work on technical specifications, design of integrated key and asset management solutions
  • Provide onsite and/or remote technical consultation during deployment of all projects
  • Provide support on tender technical specifications alongside Market Development Managers
  • Manage and follow up key projects in collaboration with Traka partners/end users
  • Promote and act in accordance with the TRAKA health & safety policy at all times
  • Manage deployment risks and deal with any issues arising accordingly
  • Populate and maintain a technical knowledge base for the region/sector and act as an escalation point for technical issues with our partners/resellers/customers
  • Be involved in assisting with the development and management of technical certification training program and materials
  • Check all orders and build sheets are correct in line with customer expectations and ensure our databases are updated with all project information (ServiceMax)
  • To maintain close contact with customer and build good relationships during the period between sale and deployment ensuring that relevant Traka staff are kept fully informed of the current project status.   
  • Organise project planning meetings internally to ensure that any technical developments required to the system are understood and actioned within agreed timeframes.
  • To provide all completed project pre-work documentation is in place before site visit.
  • Ensure installation is carried out to the highest standard and system is set up and working ready for training.
  • Carry out onsite training ensuring staff are competent to administer the system and it is fully operational when handed over.
  • Ensure jobs are carried out effectively and efficiently working to the number of days sold on project management.
  • Collect sales and technical information to assist in the generation of development requests
  • Assist with trade show setup and attendance as needed
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager from time to time.

Who You Are:

You are confident and have the ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team and with little supervision.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are passionate about providing outstanding customer service and comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment with the ability to multi-task.

You are self-motivated, with an excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and tasks. You also have flexibility and adaptability in tackling new tasks.

Within this role, there is also the expectation that there will be significant travel (mainly UK) so you must be flexible.

Functional Competencies:

  • Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent certifications and experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Products (Project, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.).
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent documentation and recording skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in solution selling, designs or installation/deployment.
  • Skilled in Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Selling to Customer Needs, Establishing Software Requirements, Product Development, Presentation Skills, General Programming concepts, Technical Understanding, Verbal Communication, Requirements Analysis, Innovation.

Essential skills:

  • Experience in solution design, review and deployment
  • Experience on supporting software integrations (Restful API)
  • Master Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, IIS services, Windows server versions, etc.)
  • Networking (TCP/IP) knowledge and experience
  • Due to the nature of the role, travel will be required and a full driver licence is mandatory.


Desirable skills:

  • Experience in both sales and technical support
  • Manufacturer certifications for enterprise-level security systems a plus and is highly desirable (e.g. Lenel OnGuard, Genetec Security Center, etc.)
  • Microsoft Platform certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
  • Networking certifications (CompTIA, CCNA, etc.)
  • Any security certification will be also an advantage
