Sales Engineer

What you would do as our Sales Engineer

Reporting to the Traka UK Technical Manager, you will be responsible for Offering practical and technical assistance with product demonstrations and answering technical questions for the sales team, customers direct You will need to translate customers’ requirements into achievable solutions and engage directly with the R&D team to put forward developments if required. Whilst also supporting the wider Traka UK business with solution and technical expertise.  

 

You would also:

• Lead endtoend technical engagement across the customer lifecycle, including solution design, technical specifications, customer demonstrations, tenders, and advanced pre and postsales support.

• Design and document integrated key and asset management solutions, producing customerready specifications and scopeofworks documentation to support sales opportunities and complex project delivery.

• Act as a senior technical partner to Sales and Projects, projectmanaging complex technical solutions (e.g. integrations, SSO, bespoke designs) and supporting implementation and escalation where required.

• Collaborate closely with wider technical, operations, and support teams, contributing to team cohesion, product development feedback, certification training, enduser training, and knowledge sharing across the business.

• Represent Traka in customerfacing and business activities, including trade shows, technical advisory support, and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and ongoing operational needs.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:

• The ability to solve complex technical problems by analyzing challenges from multiple angles and proposing effective solution options.

• The ability to plan and organise work effectively, producing clear, accurate, and well structured technical documentation.

• The ability to design, review, and deploy technical solutions, including hands on software installation across integrated or multi platform environments.

The ability to apply strong IT and networking knowledge, including Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, SQL), software systems, and TCP/IP networking principles.

Willingness to travel as required to support customers and projects, holding a full driving license essential for the role.
