Are you looking for the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity has opened up for a driven and motivated team member to join the D&D Technologies Sales team as a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), based at the ASSA ABLOY Oakleigh office.

 

D&D Technologies is a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of quality, state-of the-art gate latches, locks and hinges. We are the trusted name in innovative gate hardware and our Australian-made products are sold and exported worldwide. Established in the late 1980s, D&D gained international recognition with its ground-breaking MagnaLatch® magnetic child safety gate latch for swimming pool and other child safety gates, winning several prestigious design awards for our revolutionary design. Since then, D&D has expanded operations and continues to grow its product range, delivering innovative safety, privacy and security gate hardware solutions. In 2022, D&D Technologies was acquired by ASSA ABLOY.

 

In this key role, you’ll lead sales growth and strengthen D&D’s brand across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. Working closely with our customers, you’ll develop innovative strategies and deliver exceptional results, helping to drive success for both our team and our valued partners. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager for Australia & New Zealand and offers the chance to make a real impact while building lasting relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

Sales Management

  • Build, manage, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales plans to meet or exceed state sales KPI targets.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting for key products (A & B items) with a tolerance of +/- 5%.
  • Design creative, tailored sales promotions for the Southern Region.
  • Provide sales performance reports and key recommendations to the National Sales Manager.

 

National Key Account Responsibility for Bunnings

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Bunnings account nationally.
  • Ensure alignment of Bunnings’ objectives with D&D Technologies' strategic goals.
  • Manage promotional plans, product placement, and in-store merchandising to maximise Bunnings' sales performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews with Bunnings' category managers to ensure alignment on key initiatives and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with Bunnings stakeholders to identify opportunities for category growth and innovation.
  • Deliver product training and support for Bunnings' sales staff to enhance product knowledge and engagement.
  • Track competitor activities within the Bunnings account to maintain a competitive edge.

 

Account Management & Business Planning

  • Proactively manage key accounts, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to analyze performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Deliver professional in-store marketing execution, including merchandisers and point-of-sale materials.
  • Effectively manage slow-moving inventory and customer credit control limits.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide timely updates after customer interactions.
  • Brand Development & Marketing Support
  • Collaborate with clients and internal marketing teams to promote D&D’s value-added services.
  • Drive engagement through trade shows, training sessions, and customer events.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns and training programs for strategic customers.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated sales management and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage complex situations with a creative and practical approach.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in sales within the building products or retail hardware sectors.
  • Proven expertise in territory and account management with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
