The Opportunity
ASSA ABLOY is the global leader in access solutions, with trusted brands including Lockwood, Yale and Whitco.
We’re looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of our Quality Management System (QMS) and lead the quality function.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll drive standards, solve problems, and work closely with the business to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
If you’re someone who takes ownership, leads from the front, and knows how to turn data into action, this role offers real impact.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will provide end to end leadership of the Quality Management System, ensuring it remains robust, practical, and aligned to ISO 9001 requirements.
You’ll act as the central point of accountability for quality across manufacturing, incoming components, and finished goods, setting standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring issues are identified, investigated, and resolved effectively.
Beyond maintaining systems, the role plays a key part in strengthening how quality is embedded into everyday operations, supporting teams to reduce defects, improve processes, and deliver consistent outcomes for customers.
Key focus areas:
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
- Lead internal and supplier audits, ensuring robust compliance and practical outcomes
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions across product, process, and supplier issues
- Monitor, analyse, and improve key quality metrics including defects, scrap, rework, complaints, and supplier performance
- Oversee quality across manufacturing operations, incoming components, and finished goods
- Manage customer complaints end to end, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurrence
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, product development, and procurement to lift process capability and product conformity
- Support and develop supplier quality performance and compliance
- Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation
What You Bring
- Solid experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and leading, maintaining, or improving a Quality Management System
- Solid experience leading Quality teams and driving the development, growth, and continuous improvement of the Quality function
- Hands on experience with audits, inspections, supplier quality, and customer issue resolution
- Demonstrated ability to lead effective root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Strong problem solving and data analysis capability, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
- A practical, confident communicator who can influence across operations, engineering, and supply chains
- A proactive, ownership driven mindset, able to prioritise, follow through, and deliver outcomes
