About The Role

 

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced IT Director – Pacific North East Asia Division to join the ASSA ABLOY team based in Oakleigh, Melbourne.

 

Reporting to the SVP and Chief Financial Officer – Pacific North East Asia Division, this role is highly collaborative and requires the ability to partner with ASSA ABLOY colleagues and functional peers across the organisation as global practices and policies are implemented in business entities based in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan and USA.

 

About You

With over 10 years of IT leadership experience, supporting your tertiary qualifications, you will bring a wealth of IT knowledge and business acumen which will enable you foster business relationships, drive global initiatives, deliver customer-facing applications, and manage local IT support.

Your previously demonstrated ability

 

Business Relationship and Demand Management:

  • Collaborate with divisional business leaders to understand IT requirements.
  • Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage IT demand and prioritize initiatives.

 

Global Initiatives and Standardization:

  • Implement global infrastructure and security standards.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams on standardized technologies and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with global IT policies and procedures.

 

Customer-Facing Applications:

  • Deliver differentiated applications for divisional business units.
  • Work with global IT teams to develop and implement customer-facing solutions.
  • Enhance customer experience through technology.

 

Local IT Support:

  • Overall demand management for the division
  • Manage end-user computing and facilities IT support for Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, and US business units.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of local IT infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.

 

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Partner on core platform management (ERP, CRM, E-Commerce, BI).
  • Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working in a global organization, preferably in a multinational company.
  • IT vendors and service providers: manage relationships and negotiate contracts.
