About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our Melbourne based team in Oakleigh. Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor this role will be responsible for a range of activities that support the operations team to ensure the effective utilisation of machinery, the maintenance and improvement of facilities, the coordination of contractors and administrative support to enable the operations team and wider site to function efficiently and adequately. 

You will be:
•    Part of a multi-disciplined team, completing maintenance on a range of factory and warehouse machinery, infrastructure and facilities
•    Completing mechanical breakdown, preventative maintenance and system checks per our preventative maintenance schedule
•    Performing effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
•    Ensuring that all equipment and installations are mechanically safe and compliant to WHS and Quality standards
•    Supporting manufacturing by producing and repairing jigs, fixtures, and tooling and completing small batch production components
•    Supporting the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activity

What we are looking for
As an integral part of the team within a wider business, you will be a clear communicator and an effective team player that can manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.

The successful candidate will require the following attributes:
•    Fitter & Turner/Machinist trade qualification
•    Experience conducting breakdown and preventative maintenance on production machinery including NC machinery
•    A sound knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment working with automated machinery and robotics
•    Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude to work
•    Be diligent and thorough in carrying out tasks and completing records
•    Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
