We're looking for an Events Coordinator to take ownership of our national events program and deliver exceptional trade exhibitions, partner activations, and customer events. If so, keep reading!
What you will be doing
Reporting to the Head of Marketing at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Australia, you'll own the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of our events program. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with genuine ownership from day one.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering the annual events calendar, including trade exhibitions, partner activations, customer events, and internal events
- Managing the end-to-end events process from exhibition/stand artwork and showcase to logistics – venues, bookings, catering, AV, freight, and on-site coordination
- Coordinating exhibition stand builds, supplier and stakeholder briefings, and compliance with brand and venue requirements
- Managing event budgets, quotes, purchase orders, and cost reconciliation
- Coordinating branding approvals, signage, merchandise, and event collateral
- Liaising with suppliers, venues, event organisers, and co-exhibiting partners
- Packing/unpacking event assets where relevant
- Managing registrations, invitations, and event and attendee communications
- Providing on-site support, including bump-in and bump-out
- Preparing post-event reports covering attendance, leads, costs, and recommendations
What we are looking for
We're looking for an organised, detail-focused events professional who is willing to be hands-on across the end-to-end process – from idea formation through to pack down – and who stays calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused when things change on the day.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience coordinating events, trade exhibitions, or corporate events end-to-end
- Strong supplier and vendor management skills
- Experience managing event budgets and purchase orders
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management
- Willing to be hands-on and get involved in the end-to-end process – idea formation through to pack down
- Creative ability for event brand activations
- Confident communicator who builds strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and partners
- Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solutions-focused when things change on the day
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with event registration or CRM platforms is a plus
- Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge is a bonus but not mandatory – used for presenting visualisations of proposed layouts
- Able to travel interstate and work outside standard hours during event periods; current driver's licence
