About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Specification Sales team in Victoria. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Specification (VIC/TAS), you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business in the commercial specification segment, focusing on major architectural and builder-led projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your relationship-building skills and present tailored commercial solutions across a diverse customer base, including architects, builders, and key residential project stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Develop new business opportunities within the Commercial and Residential project sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, and top-tier project stakeholders
- Identify, develop, and manage key specification and commercial opportunities
- Collaborate with distributors to support design and construct (D&C) projects
- Deliver impactful solution-based presentations to major builders
- Track and report on competitor activity, customer trends, and market intelligence
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and contribute to forecasting and sales reporting
- Represent ASSA ABLOY at sales meetings, product launches, and industry functions
About You
You’re a results-driven individual who thrives on building relationships and identifying growth opportunities. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and have a strong customer-first mindset.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven business development or specification sales experience in the building or construction industry
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work autonomously
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (up to 10% domestic)
- Experience working with CRM systems is advantageous
