IDE is seeking a highly organised and proactive Service Coordinator to join our team.
This is a pivotal role at the centre of our service operation, ensuring our engineers, customers, and internal teams are connected and supported to deliver an exceptional service experience.
You'll be responsible for coordinating engineer schedules, planning service visits, managing customer communications, and ensuring service activities are completed efficiently and effectively. What You'll Be Doing
As our Service Coordinator you will:
- Schedule and coordinate service engineers for planned maintenance, breakdowns, installations, and project work.
- Manage engineer diaries to ensure optimum utilisation and efficient travel planning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers requiring service support.
- Raise service jobs and maintain accurate records within the service management system.
- Coordinate customer communications regarding service visits, updates, and completion reports.
- Support the quotation and administration process for repairs, spare parts, and service work.
- Monitor service delivery and ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes.
- Work closely with engineers, sales teams, and operational departments to resolve scheduling challenges.
- Track service performance and provide regular reporting on key activities.
- Assist with contract planning and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all documentation and system records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a service coordination, scheduling, planning, customer service, administration, or operational support role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to changing demands.
- Experience using ERP, CRM, service management, or scheduling systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing, technical service, facilities management, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of field service operations and engineer scheduling.
- Experience supporting preventative maintenance contracts or service agreements.
