Service Assistant - Termporary

 

Industrial Door Engineering is looking for a Service Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis based from our Northwich Factory and Office.

 

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a proactive and organised Service Assistant to support the Service Co-ordinator in the smooth running of the Service Department. This role involves handling service-related enquiries, managing service contracts, reviewing inspection documentation, and providing general administrative support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service enquiries via multiple channels including email and telephone
  • Manage and send service contract renewals for annual and bi-annual maintenance services
  • Review engineer inspection sheets and complete detailed service reports
  • Maintain and administer the service library and related documentation
  • Liaise with site representatives to schedule and confirm dates for annual and bi-annual services
  • Collect and record feedback on quotations and contract renewals
  • Provide general support to the Service Department team to ensure efficient operations

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

  • Proven background in customer service with a strong understanding of excellent customer service practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn about Industrial Roller Shutters (prior experience is beneficial but not essential)
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
