Lead Supply Chain Excellence in a Dynamic Manufacturing Environment

We're seeking a Manager, Materials to oversee all aspects of materials management, inventory control, production planning, and scheduling within our manufacturing operation. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory investment, and driving on-time delivery performance.


What You'll Do

As the Manager, Materials, you will:

✅ Lead materials planning, forecasting, inventory control, and production scheduling activities

✅ Develop and maintain short- and long-range inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

✅ Oversee Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes

✅ Coordinate supplier releases to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations

✅ Monitor production capacity and recommend solutions to support changing customer demand

✅ Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, FIFO processes, and inventory control best practices

✅ Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Engineering teams to optimize performance

✅ Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, delivery, scheduling, and materials management

✅ Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

✅ Develop, coach, and mentor a team of materials, planning, and inventory professionals


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

✔ 5+ years of progressive experience in:

  • Materials Management
  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Inventory Control
  • Supply Chain Operations
  • Manufacturing Environments

✔ 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams

✔ Strong understanding of:

  • MRP Systems
  • Capacity Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning
  • Supplier Management

✔ Experience working cross-functionally to achieve operational objectives


Preferred Qualifications

⭐ APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP) or CPSM

⭐ ERP experience, particularly LN and JD Edwards

⭐ Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience

⭐ Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities

⭐ Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations
