The Project Engineer is responsible for organizing and executing activities required to deliver validated IAI systems both internally and at customer sites in line with project planning and quality requirements. The role independently determines installation and commissioning steps to meet customer specifications and company standards. The Project Engineer ensures system performance, quality, and successful customer acceptance. The position involves both hands-on technical work and coordination of installation activities. International travel and on-site work are integral parts of the role.

As our Project Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Assembling and installing systems and modules based on drawings, layouts, and documentation
  • Analyzing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues during build and testing
  • Configuring and optimizing system processes (e.g. engraving, inkjet, vision, laminating, encoding, optics)
  • Collecting and analyzing test data and validate system performance
  • Executing and supporting factory and site acceptance tests (FAT & SAT)
  • Installing, aligning, and commissioning systems at customer sites internationally
  • Ensuring systems meet quality standards, stability requirements, and customer expectations
  • Providing technical training and instructions to customers
  • Maintaining documentation, test results, and configuration records 

 

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

           

  • Technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
  • Experience with system assembly, testing, and commissioning
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on-site at customers
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and organize work effectively
  • Experience in machine building or high-tech system integration
  • Knowledge of production processes such as inkjet, laser, vision, or motion systems
  • Experience with FAT/SAT execution and customer interaction
  • Experience in leading or coordinating small teams
  • Familiarity with risk analysis (FMEA) and engineering documentation processes
