Position Summary

The National Manager – Hospitality is a responsible for building and scaling ASSA ABLOY’s presence across the hospitality segment — spanning luxury hotels, branded residences, resorts, serviced apartments, and mixed-use hospitality developments. The incumbent will own the end-to-end business development strategy for this vertical, forge relationships with India's leading hospitality groups, hotel chains, developers, and design consultants, and drive product specifications and closures on landmark hospitality projects across the country.

This is a high-visibility role requiring deep domain expertise in the hospitality construction and design ecosystem, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead a geographically spread team to deliver consistent revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the national hospitality vertical sales strategy; own revenue targets and pipeline growth across all geographies in alignment with overall project sales objectives.
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships with leading hotel chains, hospitality developers, asset owners, project management consultants (PMCs), and top hospitality architects and interior designers.
  • Drive ASSA ABLOY product specifications into major hospitality projects — from design stage through procurement and execution — ensuring brand presence across high-value projects.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across emerging hospitality formats — boutique hotels, transit hubs, branded residences, and experiential stay concepts.
  • Lead critical negotiations with hospitality developers, procurement heads, and purchase teams; finalize pricing, commercials, and terms in line with company margin and credit policies.
  • Collaborate with the Specifications, Marketing, and Product teams to develop hospitality-specific collateral, product configurations, and specification kits aligned to the needs of this segment.
  • Ensure timely project execution and order fulfillment by coordinating with internal teams — Logistics, Finance, Installation, and After-Sales — to meet delivery and quality commitments on hospitality projects.
  • Monitor collections from hospitality accounts; ensure adherence to payment terms and flag risks proactively.
  • Track market trends, competitive activity, and new hospitality project pipelines at a national level; provide actionable intelligence and counter-strategies to senior leadership.
  • Represent ASSA ABLOY at hospitality industry forums, trade fairs, hotel developer conclaves, and design exhibitions (e.g., Acetech, Index, Hotel Investment Conclave) to build brand recall and relationships.
  • Provide regular MIS — vertical sales forecast, project pipeline, order book, collection status, and market intelligence reports — to the national leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Hospitality division to provide a comprehensive Product range to the Hosptality segment as well as achieve channel synergies .

 

Skills Required

  • Deep understanding of the hospitality construction and procurement ecosystem — hotel chains, asset owners, PMCs, hospitality architects, and FF&E procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to drive specifications and closures in a long-cycle, relationship-driven project sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience handling geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent commercial acumen — pricing strategy, margin management, credit risk assessment, and deal structuring.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills at senior decision-maker levels.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to deliver a superior customer experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, and PowerPoint for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.

 

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree – Architecture, Interior Design, Civil/Mechanical Engineering
  • MBA in Sales / Marketing preferred
  • 10–12 years of total experience in B2B project sales within building materials, architectural hardware, FF&E, or allied hospitality-focused industries
  • Minimum 4–5 years in a national vertical / category leadership role with P&L ownership
  • Prior experience selling into or working with hospitality developers, hotel chains, or FF&E procurement ecosystem is strongly preferred

 

Additional Information

  • This is a pan-India role requiring extensive travel to project sites, developer offices, and hospitality hubs across the country.
  • The incumbent must bring a consultative, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across long sales cycles.
  • Experience with luxury or premium product categories will be a distinct advantage.
