What You'll Be Doing
As our Production Planner, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring products are available when customers need them while driving efficiencies across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing supplier relationships and existing supply chains.
- Using MRP data and forecasting tools to optimise inventory availability and improve OTIF performance.
- Analysing demand forecasts to support accurate purchase order placement.
- Working closely with Sales, Operations, Product Management, Customer Service and Quality teams to ensure seamless supply chain performance.
- Monitoring supplier delivery performance and proactively expediting orders where required.
- Recommending stock strategies and supplier-held inventory levels to enhance lead times and customer service.
- Identifying alternative sourcing opportunities and supporting supplier negotiations.
- Coordinating inbound shipments with freight forwarders across sea, air and road transport.
- Maintaining accurate product and planning data within Microsoft AX and Syspro.
- Producing insightful supply chain reports and analysis for management.
- Contributing to the S&OP process to support business growth and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an organised, analytical, and proactive planner who enjoys solving challenges and building strong working relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven experience managing inventory availability across multiple SKUs and suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, particularly Microsoft AX and/or Syspro.
- Experience working with international suppliers and managing complex supply chains.
- Understanding of imports, freight forwarding, and Incoterms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
- A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to personal development.
