We’re expanding our Access Egress Hardware Team, seeking to a hire an Sr. Test Engineer, which will encompass working with both hardware and software components. This position will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT, but will consider those who reside closer to our Berlin, CT location.

 

What you will be doing 

 

Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers on an international scale, contributing to the development and testing of electronic locking products and associated applications.

 

  • Lead and participate in program Technical Reviews, ensuring that designs and 3rd party deliverables align with product requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for interconnected hardware and software platforms, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with product development teams, contributing to the creation, planning, and implementation of test plans, acceptance criteria, and procedures for both new and legacy product development.
  • Direct activities supporting product certifications such as FCC, UL, CE, and others, and develop associated certification documentation.
  • Be a part of manual and automated testing efforts for mobile apps, windows, and web-based applications. Write specialized testing tools and participate in the design and development of test automation tools, apparatus, and fixtures.

What we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical foundation in electronic and/or firmware analysis design, development, and testing, along with experience in embedded micro-controller systems.
  • Must be able to read and analyze schematics, engineering requirements, data, and test results, ensuring the identification, tracking, and resolution of hardware, firmware, and system level software issues.
  • Familiarity with RFID, WiFi, Zwave, and/or Zigbee networks is preferred. Knowledge and experience with software tools such as Python, C#, Java, and TestComplete are highly valued.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to create timelines, track activities, and meet delivery and performance commitments.
  • Leadership skills, collaborating effectively with team members throughout various product development and problem-solving activities.
  • A creative mindset, high initiative, and achievement-oriented goals to the table.
  • Travel to our Berlin or New Haven facility 25% of the time for training as well as for meetings.
