We’re expanding our Access Egress Hardware Team, seeking to a hire a Scrum Master to join us on this journey. This is an engaging and challenging opportunity that plays an intricate role in shaping the development of our new products.

 

This position will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT.

 

What you will be doing 

  • Acts as a servant leader and coach for an Agile team facilitating team events, processes and supports ARTs in delivering value.
  • Helps to remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
  • Helps in the coordination of team participation in Agile Release Trains (ARTs) events, increasing the effectiveness of SAFe across the organization.
  • Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile team management.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (stakeholders).
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each Agile sprint.
  • Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.

 

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in product development
  • 5+ years of Agile experience in a change agent role.
  • Familiarity with firmware and software development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
  • Good knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in related discipline.
  • Agile Certifications preferred (Scrum Master, Scaled Agilist (SA), etc.).
  • JIRA/Confluence Software experience.
