ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas Division implements and maintains Oracle’s J.D. Edwards (JDE) E1 9.2 ERP applications.  We are in the process of implementing JDE across all our business units in the Americas Division in North, Central, and South America.

 

The JDE Financial Business Analyst will report to the Commercial Segment - Director of Enterprise Applications. The JDE BA will coordinate the development and documentation of divisional standards for finance and accounting in JDE. The BA will then implement these standards while working as a part of the various JDE implementations, change management, and production support project teams. 

 

This position will sit onsite full-time in New Haven, CT and reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications.

 

What will you be doing

• Lead our divisional initiative to implement consolidated and consistent standards for finance and accounting in JDE.

• Work within our JDE implementation and support projects as a Functional Lead and SME, driving the implementation tasks for finance (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets) and cost accounting across multiple concurrent projects.

• Work with and provide support to local resources and external consultants assigned to specific project teams. Provide guidance to follow divisional standards and delegate tasks as needed.

• Provide functional support for prototyping, development, user testing, and user training.

• Participate as required in business requirements analysis and specifications development.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business processes supported by the JDE solution.

• Research special topics as part of team or project responsibilities.

• Develop consensus and working relationships with all Enterprise Applications teams and other business and IT teams. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

• Develop and maintain appropriate documentation.

 

What we are looking for

• Proficiency in ERP related functions, 4 year or graduate level college degree, relevant experience.

• Experience with multi-national, multi-currency implementations, particularly Latin America.

• Deep knowledge of all JD Edwards modules that affect accounting.

• The ability to gather requirements from various users, write specifications for developers, test results, and communicate changes to users.

• Proven functional expertise with production support in JD Edwards ERP software implementations.

• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills. Customer focused and a team player.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stay focused on responsibilities and meet deadlines. Must perform in a high exposure, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment and be able to lead change.

• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Demonstrate aptitude for working with, supporting, and communicating with users.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, shared-services environment across multiple divisions with a variety of operating environments, application software, tools, and technologies.

• Position requires travel, varying from 25-75% within the continental US, Canada, and Latin America.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to and/or experience with finance in an environment using the JDE configurator module.

• Some background and understanding of operational processes in a manufacturing environment.

• Has or will quickly acquire manufacturing industry and product knowledge.

• A background in lean manufacturing, and an understanding of the lean toolsets and processes that drive efficiency and profitability.

• Excellent English language skills, Spanish speaking skills highly desired.

• Experience with MS SQL and ability to write SQL queries.

• Exposure to Cloud Inventory/DSI Data Collection, Gentran EDI Software, SAP Business Objects, DocPath forms, Imaging systems (TransformAP), and credit card collection systems.
