ERP Data Specialist
At ASSA ABLOY, our Access Egress Hardware Team is looking to expand their division as we seek to hire an ERP Analyst. This individual will dive into the heart of operations, where you’ll wield the power of JD Edwards ERP Product Configurator to sculpt and maintain product data with accuracy and precision.
We are seeking an entry level self-motivated professional to join our team as an ERP Data Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of ERP product data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Key responsibilities include overseeing new product uploads, creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), establishing base configurator setups, and supporting ongoing updates and data maintenance.
This position will report to the ERP Product Data Manager and will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT.
What you will be doing
Work with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sourcing and other functional groups on the following to drive efficiency, quality and on time new product developments and production updates:
- Being familiar with all aspects of upload and maintenance processes for product information in the ERP system including Item Master, BOM and base Product Configurator setup.
- Responsible for the upload and maintenance of ERP product data portion of NPD and IT project engagements including data transformations through to completion (Item Masters, BOM’s and Product Configurations, etc.).
- Implement requested product and system changes, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables, hitting target timelines.
- Accuracy of data uploads, ensuring order entry and manufacturing productivity.
- Continuous Product Data maintenance through usage of exception reports to ensure ERP data quality and integrity.
- Provide frontline administration of ERP Product Data, communicating with multiple disciplines in correcting errors, troubleshooting configuration issues and other data discrepancies related to Product data.
- Participate in the Engineering Change Process, taking responsibility for ERP related activities.
- Support of day-to-day operations and maintenance of ERP product data.
- Provide input and guidance to the Engineering and Operations team on the most efficient ways to structure Change Requests as they relate to the release and maintenance of Product Data in the ERP system.
- Support large ERP Product Data transformations and other related activities.
- Work with the JDE IT team to resolve issues and data discrepancies.
What we are looking for
- Must have hands-on experience working within Excel and/or other tools used for data manipulation.
- Prior work or internship experience with data management and manipulation required.
- A general understanding of manufacturing and production processes as they relate to the ERP system.
- Working knowledge of engineering business processes such as Part/BOMs (Build of Materials) management and change management.
- Strong interpersonal and critical listening skills and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
- Must be detail oriented with strong task/time management and problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Strong analytical and data management skills and ability to understand existing business processes & industry best practices.
- Collaborative team player, customer focused and able to work with groups to build consensus in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience working with JDE ERP.
