Join our team in Moorsel, Belgium, for a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse ASSA ABLOY organizations across multiple countries, develop your skills and shape the future of innovation. Over the course of 2 years, you'll experience 4 unique work experience placements, each lasting 6 months, while contributing to innovative projects and unleashing your potential in a global context. What you would do as our PLC Programmer/Electrical Engineer:


  • Identify opportunities, design improvements, and implement changes for High Performance Doors.
  • Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • You will mainly deal with following topics:
    • Programming PLC’s (mainly CODESYS) – This will probably become the main task in this project: connect ADM with all HPD controllers.
    • Programming embedded systems 
    • Everything more related with electrical parts like sensors, parts inside the control cabinet, motors, …
    • Safety related parts of machinery
    • Low Voltage 
    • EMC


The skills and experience you need:
We are looking for someone who:


  • Has good electrical aptitude, knowledge, and experience in programming PLC’s
  • Has knowledge of communication protocols such as MODBUS TCP/IP, RS485, …
  • Knows CAD systems, MRP-systems, MS Office, & Excel (Pivot tables)  
  • Has ideally Embedded programming skills (not required, but a big plus)
  • Is fluent in English, any other languages are a plus (Dutch, French, German & Italian are the local languages of the different engineering sites) 


Ideally, we are looking for someone who has excellent problem solving and time management skills, and a creative mind that can put ideas into reality.
