Great News! We are currently seeking a Digital and Access Solutions Specialist for our Montreal location.

 

 

Position

 

Digital and Access Solutions Specialist / Technical expert of CLIQ product and all other software solutions for Canada region.

You work closely with sales teams and distribution partners in the region as well as Abloy factory’s service team in Finland

The position involves regular travel, good interpersonal skills and strong customer sensitivity.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Accompany sales teams and distribution partners with sales activities, deployments and usage in regards to CLIQ projects at customers
  • Provide technical expertise, support and training of the Digital products, software and service range in Canada and by request other countries for sales, partners and end customers
  • Provide documentation and tools for sales teams and distribution partners and integrators for sales development
  • Communicate to all stakeholders of Digital systems in the region about scheduled updates, new features of each update, service outages, unplanned incidents and other notifications issued by the factory
  • Detecting customer needs and documenting solutions
  • Analyse the market and surrounding technical evolutions as well as competitors’ features and movements

Defining the new development needs (functionalities, architecture etc.)

  • Monitoring of product development and adaptations, follow the development of the solution with the teams concerned and guarantee adequacy of the specifications and new developments.
  • Support alpha and beta tests as well as POCs in the region
  • Know, measure and share the value of the solutions produced throughout the economic chain (distributor, installer / integrator, end customer) by being in constant contact with customers and regional sales
  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan for the product range in collaboration with business development.

 

Your Education and Experience

 

  • Minimum Bachelor of Electronics Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Windows server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server
  • IT infrastructure such as firewalls, networks, DNS, proxy, domain, etc
  • IT security and technologies
  • Software programming languages and integration technologies (SOAP, REST) 
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Project management skills

 

Your Key Competencies

 

  • Fluently bilingual, written and oral in English and French
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work in a multicultural team and across all organisation levels
  • Self-imposed, rigorous and responsive
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to perform under time and customer pressure

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

 

  • Position based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada 
  • Regular travelling in Canada region, occasionally also Europe.
