Norshield (an ASSA ABLOY brand) is expanding the Production Team. This role will be based on-site at our manufacturing facility located in Montgomery, Alabama.

What would you do as our Manufacturing Associate?

You will assist in assembling door components such as frames, panels, and hardware.

 

You would also:

  • Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment as trained.
  • Load and unload materials onto workstations.
  • Perform quality checks on parts and finished products.
  • Move raw materials, parts, and finished doors throughout the shop.
  • Stack, package, and band products for storage or shipment.
  • Support machine operators by preparing materials, removing finished parts, and monitoring workflow.
  • Report any equipment issues immediately to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Report hazards, near misses, or unsafe practices.
  • Assist different departments as production demands shift.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks to keep aisles, workstations, and equipment clear.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
  • Completes other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Consistently supports and promotes a safe and harmonious working environment.
  • Complies with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read and write, as well as follow directions
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with accommodations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
