Training and Development Manager: AAES North America (Monroe, NC)

 

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions, an international manufacturer of automated doors, is seeking a Training and Development Manager. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is based in Monroe, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs tailored to the needs of field technicians and service business personnel.
  • Develop engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and job aids, to support the learning needs of employees.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of comprehensive onboarding programs aimed at improving retention, particularly focusing on employees in their first 12 months of employment.
  • Collaborate with HR team and management teams to identify and address retention challenges, implementing initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
  • Deliver training sessions in various formats, such as instructor-led training, virtual classrooms, and self-paced modules, ensuring content is delivered effectively and consistently.
  • Develop metrics and assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across departments to align training initiatives with organizational goals and priorities

 

 

Requirements: The successful Candidate will possess the following experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and leadership development, with a strong background in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to service-oriented businesses, particularly those with field technicians or similar roles.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful onboarding programs, with a focus on improving retention rates.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving organizational objectives.
  • Ability to think strategically and align training initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with flexibility to adjust to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.  
  • Position is on-site a minimum of three days a week with flexibility to be on site up to five days a week depending on business needs.
