Headquartered and actively producing hardware products in Monroe, North Carolina since 1957, ASSA ABLOY Door Controls products offer traditional surface, industrial, economy, overhead and floor concealed, security, commercial, architectural, electromechanical and electrified door closers and controls.  The AA Door Controls manufacturing facility is an ISO 9001/14001 certified facility.

In this role, you will be working inside a thriving and growing manufacturing facility that designs, tests, produces, and ships Door Closers, Door Controls, and Electromechanical Door Controls used in Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Sports Arenas, Hotels, and large Institutional buildings.  Our facility is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with many possibilities to make a difference and add value to the business. What you will be doing

You will:

  • Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform set-ups on Punch presses and drill presses.
  • Operate Punch presses and drill presses to perform work while monitoring and checking parts for dimensional compliance
  • Follow all ISO procedures pertaining to job activities and quality reporting and compliance.



What we are looking for?


The ideal candidate:

  • Must have prior manufacturing experience setting up and operating OBI punch presses while monitoring and checking parts for dimensional compliance 
  • Must have previously worked safely and effectively in a fast-paced manurfacturing environment while meeting production requirements.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have good understanding of blueprints and the use of Micrometers and Calipers on Metal Parts..
  • Will be an effective team player 
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be quality conscious and have a commitment to details.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40lbs


Also, we believe the ideal candidate has 3 years or more of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment working with metal components.  You are used to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meeting high production and quality standards.  You take great pride in your work and set high expectations for yourself and others.  You always meet or exceed requested production standards.  You always produce quality products.  You are always at work as expected and are never late.  You have a very high sense of urgency and truly embrace lean manufacturing, 5S, On Time Delivery, and are Customer focused.
