The position requires strong analytical expertise, deep Excel modeling capability, and the ability to synthesize data from numerous internal and external sources into clear, actionable insights. The position is based in Monroe, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Models & Strategy

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve advanced pricing models incorporating:
    • Material inputs and commodity-driven costs including tariff impacts for imported product into the US and Canadian markets
    • Direct and indirect labor components
    • Overhead, service delivery, and logistics costs
    • Geographic and market-specific variables across North America
  • Support service pricing strategy by evaluating margin performance, competitive positioning, and contract pricing structures.
  • Create scenario-based pricing analyses to support strategic initiatives, long-term agreements, and customer negotiations.

Cost Fluctuation Analysis & Price Recommendations

  • Monitor cost fluctuations related to materials, labor rates, freight, inflation indices, and other external drivers.
  • Quantify margin impacts and translate cost changes into clear pricing recommendations, including CPI-based escalators, surcharges, and targeted price actions.
  • Partner with the VP of Service and commercial leaders to ensure pricing actions align with service profitability and customer value objectives.

Advanced Account-Level Pricing

  • Build detailed pricing models for large, strategic accounts with complex service offerings and varied cost structures.
  • Analyze price-volume-mix impacts and customer-level profitability to support renewals, expansions, and renegotiations.
  • Provide analytical support for deal structuring, contract terms, and service-level pricing adjustments.

Data Integration & Excel-Based Modeling

  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models leveraging data from:
    • Internal systems (ERP, cost accounting, service management, CRM)
    • External data sources (commodity indices, labor inflation data, market benchmarks)
  • Ensure data integrity, transparency of assumptions, and repeatability of pricing models.
  • Streamline and standardize pricing tools, templates, and recurring analytical processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Act as a pricing and analytics subject-matter expert supporting Service leadership, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
  • Translate complex pricing and cost data into executive-ready summaries, dashboards, and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing governance, analytics maturity, and service margin performance.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field;
  • 3-5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or data analytics, preferably in service-based, industrial, or B2B environments.
  • Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, large-scale models, pivot tables, and data integration techniques.
  • Proven experience building pricing models that incorporate multiple material, labor, and cost drivers.
  • Strong understanding of margin analysis, cost accounting fundamentals, and service-based pricing structures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting service organizations or service pricing models.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., BAAN, Infor LN, Oracle, JD Edwards) and CRM/service management platforms.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and data visualization tools.
