Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist
Role Summary
As part of the North American IT organization, the Sr IT infrastructure specialst will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the systems infrastructure for the Pedestrian Door organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Operation and monitoring of IT-solutions
- System administration
- Manage local Backup solutions
- Manage the VMWare setup
- Create redundant setup for IT solutions whenever possible
- Implement and test adjustments and extensions of existing solutions
- Daily monitoring of systems and system integration
- Analyse and solve reported problems
- Execute security vulnerabilty remediation
- Documentation of monitoring procedures
- Manage contacts with suppliers of local IT systems
- Development of usage of IT solutions
- Running and manage both local and regional projects related to IT infrastructure
- Be part of regular meetings with IT colleagues in divisional infrastructure team
- Documentation of procedures and solutions and local infrastructure
- Take initiatives and implement optimizations of business processes
- Team member
- Be a team member of NA IT Operations team
- Work closely with the Divisional Infrastructure team
- Cooperate with Application Operation and Information Solutions
- First /Second line level support
- Resolve second/third line support based on tickets in Service Desk system
Key competences
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Entra AD, Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 and beyond, Cisco Networking, and Meraki Networking
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
- Basic MS Exchange understanding
- VMware knowledge and experience
- Veeam backup system knowledge and experience
- Networking skills / experience with Windows Server based networks
- Experience in analyzing & troubleshooting 2nd & 3rd level problems
- Knowledge about ITIL framework with focus on service requests, incidents and problem management
- Knowledge in working with some of the major Service Desk systems
Requirements
- College degree or university in computer science or relevant work experience
- +5 year experience in global company working with central infrastructure
- Experience with working in hosted / central environments
- Experience working and supporting a production facility
- Willingness to travel within the NA region and once a year for ITO meeting
- Fluent in English (verbal & writing)
