The Role:
The Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive quotes for prospective and existing customers. This includes collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and field service techs across multiple locations to ensure all quotes are aligned with the company pricing strategies. The ideal candidate has a results-oriented mindset, possesses strong communication skills, is detail oriented, has experience using ERP and CRM systems to locate customer information, and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment.
This position will report to the Service Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate quotes based on Service Technician recommendations, including pricing and delivery timelines.
- Review and analyze customer requirements, ensuring all necessary factors (e.g. discounts, volume, customization) are included in the quote.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Engineering across multiple locations to ensure all quotes are aligned with the company quote policy and pricing strategies.
- Maintain and update quote records in CRM or relevant systems, tracking the status and follow up actions for each quote.
- Ensure quotes are efficient, competitive, and aligned with pricing guidelines, balancing customer expectations with business needs.
- Analyze historical data and sales order history data in ERP and CRM to determine if pricing decision can be independently made or if Management approval is required.
- All other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of individuals located at multiple sites.
- Working knowledge of how to research information in an ERP system, and how to quote products out of CRM or quoting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite as needed to drive results. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook)
