National Accounts Estimator
We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Automatic Door Estimator to support our National Accounts Department. In this role, you’ll evaluate customer requirements, review plans and specifications, and prepare accurate, cost‑effective proposals for new automatic door installations. Your work directly supports sales, service, and operations teams, ensuring smooth project execution from initial inquiry through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, technical specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope
- Develop comprehensive estimates for labor, materials, and equipment across sliding, swinging, and specialty automatic door systems
- Interpret manufacturer specifications, building codes, and accessibility standards to ensure compliant and safe solutions
- Prepare detailed proposals and bids for both retrofit and new‑construction projects
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, field technicians, and operations personnel to clarify project requirements
- Communicate with customers and general contractors to gather information, verify details, and ensure estimate accuracy
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Qualifications
- Experience with automatic door systems or related building‑access technologies preferred
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices, terminology, and project workflows
- Proficiency in estimating principles, cost analysis, and reading architectural drawings
- AAADM certification preferred
- Familiarity with contracts, scopes of work, and proposal development
- Experience estimating national accounts or multi‑site customers
- Knowledge of local building codes, ADA requirements, and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams, customers, and vendors
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
