The Role:
The IT Workplace Specialist is based at the Monroe, North Carolina location and will report to the BA IT Operations Lead for Direct Channel North America. As a team member of the IT Operation North America, the IT Workplace Specialist will be responsible for providing first and second level support to users in offices, manufacturing locations and in the field organization in the US and Canada. Additional responsibilities will include managing and supporting end user mobile devices and working with wireless communications providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation and monitoring of IT solutions:
- Customer oriented IT support to end-users and field-based engineers.
- Proactively maintain local network infrastructure according to established standards.
- Daily monitoring of local systems.
- Analyze and solve reported errors.
Development of usage of IT solutions:
- Work as a distributed team member and participate in regular meetings with IT colleagues.
- Documentation of procedures and solutions.
- Take initiatives and implement optimizations of business processes.
What You Will Need:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferably with an IT focus.
- A minimum of 2–5-year experience in an IT support role providing desk side service and working with remote end users at branch offices or via VPN connections.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications; OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Applications and Windows Operating Systems
- Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Occasional travel is necessary in support of rollouts, corporate acquisitions and other company projects.
- Interested in an international environment.
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management systems.
- Knowledge of working in an ITIL Based Service Desk
