Human Resources Generalist – Sales and Service

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, the world’s largest manufacturer of automated doors, high performance doors, residential doors and dock systems has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist within the Pedestrian Door, Americas Sales and Service Team. This position will be based in Monroe, NC and has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, providing guidance and support
  • Act as a trusted resource for employee relations, including leave of absence processes, HR inquiries, investigations, and policy interpretation
  • Champion employee engagement and recognition programs to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Monitor workplace climate to identify trends and opportunities, recommending solutions as needed
  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers and employees to drive positive change and performance improvement
  • Support cultural transformation aligned with core values: empowerment, innovation, and integrity

Onboarding

  • Lead new hire orientation sessions, ensuring a seamless integration experience and timely response to employee questions

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data (SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Compile and analyze HR data to produce actionable reports for leadership
  • Conduct annual benefits open enrollment sessions and provide timely, accurate responses to employee questions

Organizational Development & Communication

  • Support change management, culture-building activities, and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with HR communications and organizational change efforts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field
  • Proven success working in an HR Department
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in sales and service industry
  • Excellent critical thinking, organization, written and oral communications skills, resourceful mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt  
  • Exposure to Safety and Worker’s Comp administration
  • Knowledge of ADP Globalview and SAP SuccessFactors or similar platforms preferred
  • High level of accountability and ownership
  • Self-starter who possesses an innovative approach to business along with a willingness to dig into details when needed
  • Relationship builder; must have the ability to pull people together and to rally the organization around common goals and common culture 
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 20%)
