Digital Marketing Specialist

Role Summary:

Responsibility for supporting the marketing department in content development, digital marketing initiatives, campaigning at the national and local level, SEO performance, and market research initiatives as assigned by the President and Vice President – Marketing.

This position interacts with internal cross functional teams within the organization, such as sales, R&D, HR, Dispatch, and the BSP NA Senior Management Team to support BSP NA initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Content creation:
    1. Blogs (monthly)
      1. Content creation, identify and interview subject matter experts, plan editorial calendar, work with external agency on blog creation and serve as liaison on projects
    2. Social media
      1. Planning of social media calendar with external agency to support product launches and corporate strategies
      2. Review of social media content and approvals
    3. Unhinged –content creation for biweekly company newsletter including #doorsinthefield, new employee hires, and milestone anniversaries
      1. Special projects as required for significant milestone anniversary announcements
    4. Customer case studies
      1. Identify potential customer cases, review backlog and work with sales teams to chase approvals, research details from installing office, develop content and utilize within external communication opportunities (web, social media, email campaigns, etc.)
    5. AAADM Marketing Committee
      1. Provide assistance as appropriate
  2. Digital/Lead Generation
    1. Email campaigns in Marketo to support branches and reps as required
    2. Landing page development as required to support campaigns and departmental requests and special projects (i.e. HR recruiting initiatives, etc.)
    3. Assistance with PPC and adwords campaigns and SEO initiatives
    4. Optimization of CTAs (calls to action) on web and digital platforms to improve customer experience
    5. Management of Google My Business profiles with agency
  3. Strategy and Research
    1. Assist with research projects as assigned by President or VP - Marketing
    2. Research projects as assigned analyzing product opportunities and verticals
    3. BSP NA strategy assistance – supporting President and BSP NA Senior Leadership team in strategy roll out and action item follow-up
    4. Integration activities - research into new companies, their market share, what makes them special and assisting Marketing Coordinator in transitioning their assets and assessing risks of moving local assets into AAES web platform
  4. Product launch activity assistance for content creation, image development, and launch assets
  5. Support Marketing Coordinator with website content and responsibility for French language layer on aaes.ca site
  6. Updating internal Avenue directory for North American associates
  7. Providing back-up and assistance monitoring website leads
  8. Help organize marketing events as required

 

Experience and Skills:

  1. Three to five years relevant experience within marketing department in a corporate environment. Experience in strategic initiatives or an international organization a plus.
  2. Experience with content development (blogs, press releases, web and brochure copy)
  3. Experience with social media content development
  4. Ability to research market scenarios, interview subject matter experts, and assemble data to present to senior leaders
  5. Graphics/Presentation creation
  6. Ability to manage long-term projects and provide follow-up.
  7. Experience with marketing automation tools (i.e., Hubspot, Marketo, etc.) as well as WordPress or web programming a plus
  8. Skills with SEO and automation analytics including Google Analytics 4
  9. Coordination with outside marketing agencies and budget management

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

 

Languages: Proficient in spoken and written English is a must. Competency in other language (French, Spanish) a plus but not required. Must be willing to use online transition tools for French and validate with local business leaders in Quebec.

Computer skills: Proficient ability to handle office tools is a must and experience with digital marketing platforms strongly preferred. (i.e. Marketo, Hubspot, etc.) from ERP is an advantage

Software design skills: experience with Photoshop and InDesign strongly preferred. Competency with design tools such as Canva required.

 

Compensation & Location:

This position will be located in Monroe, NC (Metro  Charlotte). A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the candidate that will include a base salary and benefits. Hybrid work schedule requires three days/week in office and allows for two days remote work if desired.
