Reporting to ALCEA Sales Manager Access Control, you will be responsible for detecting and developing new business opportunities in the market at the related vertical segments focusing on products, services, and service solutions. The role will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
What you will do as Technical Sales Representative Access Control
In the role of Technical Sales Representative Access Control you will spend time in the market to understand existing customer’s processes and challenges as well as follow vertical / industry trends to stay informed of key changes in the industry. Important part of the job is translating of this knowledge into new business opportunities and innovative solutions to markets. In this role you will be responsible of handing out the customer and industry requirements to relevant stakeholders (Product & Software, Services and Marketing). You will need to contribute to profitable sales development, participate and drive training as well as participate in different types of industry events. This will culminate in the ALCEA Access Management platform sales approach of a unified platform and solution journey to customers within the Access Management landscape.
What we are looking for
Education, knowledge, skills & experience required
- Business experience in the security industry minimum 3 - 5 years
- Beneficial: Technical Engineering or Tech. School degree – Electronics/Computer Equipment (PLC’s, Robotics or similar)
- Proven experience in large corporate environment
- Experience in the access control industry with its related sales of products, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, software-solution services, system integration and project management services.
- Experience selling into Critical Infrastructure Protection businesses segments such as Energy, Water, Telecoms, Mining, Transportation
- Experience in creating and driving sales results to end users and to channel partners
- Ability to develop long-term relationship business with end users and used to negotiate with multiple stakeholder levels (Operations, Security, Maintenance, Finance, etc.)
- Strong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Proactive in resolving challenging situations being able to propose alternative solutions (sales, technical specifications, reports, quotations)
- Solution selling approach with technical design build up to proposal offering
- Flexible and adaptable to changes
- Proven skills using Microsoft Office and other IT tools (CRM, ERP)
- High working capacity, self-organized and used to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Travel flexibility. Travel across Africa and Middle East is required and other countries sporadically
