The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations while leading and supporting a team to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate material flow. This role oversees receiving, storage, inventory transactions, and material movement to maintain accuracy and meet operational priorities, while serving as the first point of contact for team member questions and issue resolution. This role also enforces safety and compliance standards, maintains an organized and audit-ready environment, monitors productivity metrics, provides coaching and training support, and identifies continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

 

Shift: Fri, Sat, & Sun: 7am - 7:30pm

 

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Daily Operations

  1. Lead, assign, and coordinate daily activities of warehouse team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  2. Monitor workflow to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  3. Provide hands-on support to the team during peak periods or staffing shortages.
  4. Communicate daily priorities, production goals, and performance expectations to team members.
  5. Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and issue resolution.

Inventory & Material Management

  1. Oversee accurate receiving, storage, and movement of materials within the warehouse.
  2. Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately in the ERP system.
  3. Assist with monitoring inventory levels and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock concerns.
  4. Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  1. Enforce company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  2. Promote safe work practices, including proper equipment use and housekeeping standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety requirements.
  4. Address unsafe behaviors or conditions promptly and escalate concerns when necessary.
  5. Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  1. Monitor team productivity and maintain accurate metrics.
  2. With assistance from the Warehouse Manager, provide coaching and real-time feedback to improve performance of team members.
  3. Assist with training and onboarding of new warehouse employees.
  4. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  5. Support implementation of Lean, 5S, or other operational improvement initiatives.

General Responsibilities

  1. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  2. Assist with scheduling coverage and coordinating labor to meet operational needs.
  3. Communicate effectively with supervisors, operations, and cross-functional teams.
  4. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

 

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 1–3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Manufacturing, or a related function.
  3. Experience working with inventory systems (ERP/MRP) and inventory transactions preferred.
  4. Demonstrated ability to process data quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
  5. Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  6. Continuous learner with a focus on adaptability and process improvement.
  7. Willingness to be visible on the shop floor and engage with team members daily.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  1. Associate’s degree or relevant college coursework.
  2. Prior warehouse or manufacturing floor experience.

 

Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements:

 

  1. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation.
  2. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing more than 45 lbs. using team lifting procedures.
  3. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).
  4. Ability to safely move throughout the manufacturing floor.
  5. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and/or ladders as required for job tasks.
  6. Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers for handling materials, writing, and computer work.
  7. Frequent use of computers, keyboards, tablets, scanners, or handheld devices.
  8. Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment.
  9. Ability to work in hot and cold environmental conditions.
