Service Technician
Job Title: Commercial Service Technician Lead
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Responsibilities:
- Service and install various products, including but not limited to: loading dock equipment, vehicle restraints, sectional doors, and rolling doors.
- Repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
- Maintaining proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle.
- Responible for accurate timekeeping; detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments timely.
- Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling additional services and products.
- Interact with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address diverse door and site requirements.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals.
- Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.
Qualifications:
- At least 4- 10 years experience in including loading dock equipment, sectional doors, and rolling doors.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- On call rotation and overtime requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record – Class 5
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle a physical workload.
- Proficient with power tools.
- Independent work capability.
- Service-oriented individual with effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Adaptability to a changing work environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass background check
- Basic math skills.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in any weather conditions (indoors/outdoors)
