We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and support our sales team across Canada. This role emphasizes strategic growth, customer relationships, profitability, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a sales-driven mindset to achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability goals while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent, building a high-performing and collaborative team.
- Motivate and empower employees by promoting autonomy and accountability, effectively communicating goals, and providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture through coaching, cross-training, and professional development.
- Strategic Sales Management:
- Develop and implement annual business plans, sales goals, and budgets to achieve company growth objectives.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns that resonate with commercial audiences.
- Operational Excellence:
- Supervise the preparation of preliminary quotes, ensuring alignment with customer needs and project feasibility.
- Partner with installation and operations teams to guarantee seamless project execution from sale to delivery.
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and resolve quality concerns promptly.
- Customer & Market Focus:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring a superior customer experience.
- Act as a liaison for key accounts, supporting collections and resolution of quality or service issues.
- Expand the company’s market share by driving sales of existing products and contributing insights for new product development.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Champion a "safety-first" culture by overseeing training, inspections, incident reporting, and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within a service or engineering environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with direct industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver presentations.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- A diploma or equivalent in Business Management or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
- Combination of home and office environments.
- Travel across Canada (1–2 times per month) and internationally (1–2 times per year) as required.
- Regular use of computers and office equipment.
