Are you passionate about HR and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Wesko Locks, part of the Assa Abloy High Security Group, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and drive HR excellence.

 

About the Role: 

As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our success by overseeing a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and more. You will be a key member of the site leadership team, providing guidance on administrative questions and acting as the primary point of contact for our Wesko employee base. Additionally, the HR Manager functions as a business partner to the management team, developing and implementing HR policies and programs that support our business objectives. This position reports to the General Manager of Wesko and the High Security Group Director of Human Resources.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, from developing job descriptions to onboarding candidates.
  • Advise and consult with managers and employees on HR issues, promoting a better understanding of HR practices.
  • Be visible and available to employees, fostering positive employee relations.
  • Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, issue corrective actions, and escalate as needed.
  • Manage employee leave processes and oversee regular payroll timecard reviews and approvals.
  • Continuously improve HR processes and programs, leveraging best practices and generating new ideas.
  • Review and create policies that support organizational objectives, gaining approval from senior management and implementing them.
  • Assess training needs, develop and coordinate training programs, and track and report on training initiatives.
  • Manage initiatives such as the Performance Appraisal cycle and the Employee Engagement Survey.
  • Participate in progressive HR projects focused on enhancing the Employee Experience.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Generalist.
  • University Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience with ADP and SuccessFactors platforms is helpful.

  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws, HR procedures, and practices.
  • Exceptional customer service, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • High comfort level with technology and implementing technology to create efficiencies.
  • Excellent skills in influencing, collaborating, and leading without authority.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communications.
