Position Summary:
Wesko Locks is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling lock components and related hardware according to established specifications and quality standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products that meet our customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Assembly
- Assemble a variety of products and components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
- Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for defects or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed.
- Package finished products according to company requirements.
- Production Support
- Maintain an organized and efficient workstation to support smooth production flow.
- Communicate promptly with supervisors or team leads regarding shortages, defects, or production issues.
- Assist in maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify assembled products meet quality and performance standards.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products to the appropriate department.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Equipment & Safety
- Operate assembly tools and equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Additional Responsibilities
- From time to time, workload requirements may change, and the employee may be required to perform other duties or tasks as assigned by Wesko Locks to support operational needs and business objectives.

Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (preferred).
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, instructions, and work orders.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Thrive.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during production operations.
- Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials, operate tools, and assemble components.
- May be required to lift, carry, or move parts and materials up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and walking within the production area.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Shift timings and schedules may change from time to time based on operational requirements.
