Quality Specialist

Our Ceco Door brand is looking to add a Quality Specialist to our team. This is a brand new role that has been created and will be based 100% onsite out of our Milan, Tennessee facility.

What would you do as our Quality Specialist?
You will be responsible for ensuring quality control and assurance throughout the manufacturing process. This role requires hands-on expertise in statistical process control, root cause analysis, internal auditing, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with relevant quality standards and certifications
You would also:
- Monitor quality across the entire production cycle.
- Analyze quality data and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Lead and support internal, supplier, and raw material audits; assist in safety audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process or product-related issues.
- Train and mentor production floor personnel and Quality Specialists Level 1 & 2; utilize JC training form.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects.
- Support Supplier and Operations Quality Management initiatives.
- Handle NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and manage complaint investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist Quality Engineers with document control and tool calibration.
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
- Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
- Other duties as assigned.
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School Diploma or GED required – associate’s degree preferred
- Preferred certifications: ASQ Certified in Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Certified Quality Technician (CQT) and Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
- 2-5 years of experience in quality control or assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience/exposure working within Metal Fabrication, Hollow Metal, Door or Building Materials industries are highly desirable.
- Experience with Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R).
- Working knowledge of FEMA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis (SPC) and problem-solving tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously
