The ASSA ABLOY Door Group is growing! We are adding a Product Configuration Analyst II to the Group. This role will be based on-site at one of our manufacturing facilities located in either Milan, Tennessee, Mason City, Iowa or Phoenix, Arizona.

What would you do as our Product Configuration Analyst II?

You will accurately design, develop, implement, and maintain product configuration, order entry and product manufacturing rule sets to meet current and future business requirements. You will also assist with business discovery and business analysis, using your accumulated experience to help establish written specifications and

guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, you will train and develop more junior team members.

 

 

You would also:

  • Work with project teams to determine business and technical requirements
  • Develop, write, and maintain manufacturing and order systems product rules of moderate to high complexity.
  • Develop procedures, work instructions, and guidelines as necessary to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain the product configurator user interface and make necessary modifications to support business requirements
  • Develop and manage system and process enhancements that will improve the Order Processing Department’s effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and continually improve the flow of order system information between the customer, order technician, and manufacturing
  • Lead development and execution of systems enhancements as related to quality and implementation of new product offerings
  • Lead training of end users in the use of product configuration technology, as needed
  • Maintain a customer-oriented mindset, and professional demeanor at all times, even under duress
  • Maintain attention to detail, and a focus on delivering complete solutions on time
  • Function autonomously and/or adjusts hours of work, priorities and assignments as required to ensure effective time management and completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional documentation as required
  • Remain informed on relevant technology, constantly seeks to expand knowledgebase and skill set, and requests necessary training to augment these objectives
  • Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience progressive experience working with highly configured products or product configurators in a business production environment.
  • Preference for candidates with a solid understanding of and exposure to computer programming including but not limited to:
    • SQL Server Databases, IBM DB2 Databases, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.Net, CSS
  • Knowledge of ERP systems required: Custom (iSeries), MacPac, and/or JD Edwards
  • Detailed problem-solving methods and the ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to use logic to solve problems is vital.
  • Ability to review complex problems – explain, document, and present alternative solutions in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and information technology documents.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write detailed reports, instructions, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak effectively before diverse groups of employees at various levels of the organization.
