Ceco Door, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking to add a General Accounting Manager to our Team! This is an on-site role based out of our Milan, Tennessee manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our General Accounting Manager?

You will organize, maintain, and direct accounting activities while providing timely and accurate financial information to help leadership make informed business decisions. As a hands-on leader, you will help ensure the financial integrity of the organization, strengthen internal controls, develop the Finance team, and support optimal levels of profitability, productivity, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

 

You would also:

  • Lead and evaluate the company’s accounting and finance activities, aligning priorities and key performance indicators with business goals
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
  • Analyze profitability, working capital, income, expenses, earnings, and financial performance
  • Lead the preparation of annual plans, budgets, forecasts, and tax planning and compliance activities
  • Provide leadership with timely financial analysis, technical guidance, and clear answers to business questions
  • Partner with department leaders to strengthen their understanding of financial matters affecting their areas
  • Identify root causes, improve accounting processes, and establish effective financial controls
  • Coach and develop Finance team members while supporting continued professional and personal growth
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, applicable laws, company policies, and internal control requirements
  • Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment, holding yourself and others accountable to company standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

 

The Skills & Experience you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related degree required.
  • MBA, CMA, or CPA designation preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of accounting experience, including at least two years as an Accounting Manager or in a comparable leadership role
  • Manufacturing industry experience required, preferably within a multi-location industrial products organization
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations
  • Experience preparing profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
  • Strong planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance experience
  • Previous supervisory experience and a hands-on management style
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, macros, filters, and template creation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Extensive ERP system knowledge; ERP implementation experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance strategic analysis and transactional detail
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to meet demanding deadlines while maintaining an excellent standard of work
