Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Our regional manufacturing facility (South Central Service Center) is seeking a Second Shift Maintenance Technician who will be based on-site out of our manufacturing facility located in Mesquite, Texas.
What would you do as our Second Shift Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift?
You will act as the front line support for our production floor operation, ensuring quality product and customer satisfaction by leading the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing equipment as guided by our Service Center Manager, Operations Manager, and production schedule.
You would also:
- Install new equipment, as needed, insuring it is production ready with all safety guards in place.
- Perform required mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair on all machinery and equipment, including adjusting and repair clutches, brakes, lubricating systems, drive systems, paint systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps
- Performs general maintenance on building structure, as needed; run pipe for air and water when needed; understand and effectively work on any of the plant primary systems.
- Implement and follow a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and systems related to production.
- Achieve 5S attainment
- Complete improvement projects
- Complete safety initiatives, as directed.
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
- Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
What kind of equipment will you be working with?
- All basic hand tools and pipe threader.
- KVA, Arc welder and cutting torch.
- Scissors lift, tractor, forklift, pickup truck, drill press and band saws.
- Precision measuring equipment.
- Paint Line
- Wood Shop equipment
- Shear
- CNC
- Press Brake
Qualifications:
- Able to communicate with and direct employees.
- Understand mechanical concepts and reason out solutions to problems.
- Working electrical experience.
- Understand written and verbal instructions on technical concepts.
- Possess the mobility to effectively service all equipment and the building.
- Work from drawings and layouts.

Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. For approximately 30% of the time.

Ability to walk and stand for the entire work shift.
