Associate Product Manager

Pemko (an ASSA ABLOY company) is looking to add an Associate Product Manager (APM) to the team. This on-site role will be based out of our Memphis, Tennessee location.


What would you do as our Associate Product Manager (APM)?

This individual will work closely with the Architectural Door Accessories’ product management team help develop road maps, marketing strategy, competitive pricing, positioning, and messaging. You will also learn how to fully execute the new product development (NPD) process from beginning to end.  


You would also:

  • Help to conduct product and trend analysis, Voice of Customer research, design activities and  projects through the stage gate process
  • Assist in the development of product road maps
  • Analyze product category life cycle including continuous analysis of portfolio performance and profitability and recommend appropriate actions including cost reduction through outsourcing or VA/VE, price adjustment, rationalization, etc.
  • Conduct competitive and trend analysis
  • Help to manage product development timelines by creating and monitoring project timelines
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Brand Management in the development of technical marketing materials
  • Help to manage digital photography database and sample inventory
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees’ Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, ASSA ABLOY programs, policies and Code of Conduct
  • Special projects as assigned


The Skills and Experience you need:

  • BA/BS degree in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering or other related field (combined with experience); MBA Preferred
  • 2-3 years of product management or technical commercial product experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Project (or another project management / Gantt chart software)
  • Previous experience in architectural or commercial door hardware a plus
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to hold others accountable to ensure project deliverables
  • Ability to communicate effectively via correspondence and presentations
  • Occasional travel required
