RTLS Business Unit

Our RTLS (Real-Time Location Systems) team develops software and hardware solutions that enable precise indoor location tracking in industrial environments. Our platform helps organizations improve operational efficiency, safety, and visibility by transforming location data into actionable insights.

The Brno team focuses on developing and maintaining a scalable platform used by customers globally across manufacturing, logistics, and industrial operations.

 

Essential Duties

  • Designing and executing high-quality test scenarios and test cases for new features and platform improvements.
  • Validating functionality of web applications and backend services in a distributed system environment.
  • Investigating and reproducing defects, documenting findings clearly in tools such as Jira or TestRail.
  • Collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, and support teams to improve product quality.
  • Supporting investigation of production issues and helping reproduce defects across different environments.
  • Performing regression testing and contributing to improvements in overall test coverage.
  • Participating in agile team ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Contributing to improvements in QA processes, testing strategies, and product reliability.

Primary Duties

  • Working closely with developers to understand system behavior and ensure features are validated before release.
  • Analyzing logs, system responses, and API behavior to identify potential issues.
  • Supporting the broader engineering team by helping identify risks and quality improvements early in the development cycle.
  • Maintaining internal QA documentation, test cases, and knowledge bases for the team.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing or QA within an agile environment.
  • Strong experience designing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
  • Experience with API testing and HTTP-based services (REST, JSON).
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to reproduce and diagnose defects in complex or distributed systems.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Czech and English.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing applications built on microservices architecture.
  • Experience testing systems deployed in cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
  • Experience working with logs, monitoring tools, or system metrics (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
  • Experience with containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with test automation or exploratory testing approaches.
