What would you do as our Test Facility Technician?

 

Assist with setup and testing of product as described in the Test Request. Assist with standard testing using a variety of equipment. Assist with recording all data accurately as required. Performs a variety of tasks. Maintain facility, test apparatus, fixtures, and instruments.

 

You would also:

  • Ensure all applicable Safety requirements are maintained and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
  • Follow the ITC Quality Manual, Procedures, and work instructions to support Listing organization (UL, Intertek, etc.) accreditation of the Test Facility.
  • Support scheduled Test Facility activities including inventorying and ordering material to meet testing requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain expertise on relevant test standards.
  • Assist in construction of test walls and installation of doors, frames and hardware.  
  • Assist in obtaining and recording required test data.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance to test apparatus and facility equipment.
  • Perform day to day up-keep and janitorial duties as required for facility and grounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Basic welding and building construction skills preferred. 
  • Capable of lifting 70lbs, working on ladders, operating scissor lift, and lift-truck
  • 40+ hour weeks M-F, will be required to work overtime as required by testing schedule.
