Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is looking to add a Talent Specialist to our Team! This is an on-site role based out of our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility.

 

ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare, aerospace, defense, sporting venues and education.

What would you do as our Talent Specialist?

You will be an integral member of the Human Resources team helping to lead the recruitment efforts for open positions, mostly direct hires and non-exempt roles, by using job boards, establishing relationships within the community, and partnering with schools.

 

You would also:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs, priorities and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.), social media (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.), networking, career fairs and open houses, schools, employee referrals, etc.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications to ensure fit for the role and company culture.
  • Help to brainstorm creative ideas to increase candidate flow.
  • Help to gather images or content that can be used for social media postings.
  • Participate with initiatives and company sponsored events that help promote retention, wellness, on-boarding, safety, learning and development, etc.
  • Assist members of the HR team with administrative tasks, such as scheduling interviews and making travel arrangements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, marketing or a related discipline preferred. Bachelors or PHR would be a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources / Recruitment arena (could be a combination of staffing firm and in-house roles)
  • Previous exposure or experience with an applicant tracking system or HRIS (familiarity with SuccessFactors a plus)
  • Previous experience partnering or working with vocation schools and post-secondary institutions a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of a customer-centric attitude and approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize projects and changing priorities
  • Comfortable working with MS Office (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Willingness to work outside of core business hours to accommodate candidates’ schedules.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
