Our Curries brand is expanding the Project Services Team. This will be an on-site position based out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Project Services Order Writer?

You will translate distributor approved hollow metal submittals and hardware schedules for completeness and accuracy. You will also enter the data into Protech to generate a Curries order.

 

You would also:

  • Interpret and enter hollow metal door & hardware schedules with accuracy.
  • Interpret codes, specifications and label requirements.
  • Consult the engineering team on special product requests as needed.
  • Advise customers on technical inquiries.
  • Communicate with customers and internal team members on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.
  • Interpret hardware templates.
  • Review orders and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.
  • Initiate “DOT” Direct Order Transfer to our CURRIES workflow.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as assigned.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the hollow metal door and frame industry.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical information.
  • Proficient understanding of commercial door and frame hardware preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills such as Word and Excel.
  • Excellent math and conceptual skills such as basic geometry, algebra, fractions and metrics.
  • Previous experience within the building material, hardware or construction industry and/or a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously.
